I’m thrilled to share that I’ve been invited to take part in Live Garra Theatre’s upcoming play reading series, Now’s the Time: A Meeting of the Minds Summit, running June 13–29 at the Silver Spring Black Box! 🎭
’ll be performing in “Tea with Michelle” by Louise V. Gray on Thursday, 6/19 (Juneteenth) and Friday, 6/20 at 8PM. This beautiful dream-sequence drama imagines “Michelle” inviting four historical Black women to the White House. I’ll be portraying Thurla Lee Sonders, a 1930s maid who became a fashion designer for the wealthy—and used her earnings to uplift others. Her story is one of vision, grit, and grace.

I had a dynamic experience at Sunshine Suede's Networking Soiree on October 23rd at Vintage & Charmed, where I enjoyed delicious drinks, snacks, and good company. I had the privilege of sharing my debut novel, Dancer in the Bullpen, with exclusive book excerpt readings.
We satisfied our taste buds with fancy juice and painted visions. Jazmine Tyice Black brought her art to life with a live painting, while DJ Tony Play set the perfect vibe with his sonic mastery. I connected fellow Washingtonians, business owners, and future investors. We networked, explored creative visions, and dove into the power of community!
