I’m thrilled to share that I’ve been invited to take part in Live Garra Theatre’s upcoming play reading series, Now’s the Time: A Meeting of the Minds Summit, running June 13–29 at the Silver Spring Black Box! 🎭

’ll be performing in “Tea with Michelle” by Louise V. Gray on Thursday, 6/19 (Juneteenth) and Friday, 6/20 at 8PM. This beautiful dream-sequence drama imagines “Michelle” inviting four historical Black women to the White House. I’ll be portraying Thurla Lee Sonders, a 1930s maid who became a fashion designer for the wealthy—and used her earnings to uplift others. Her story is one of vision, grit, and grace.
